I was currently reading a post on another blog (unnamed) about a certain individual.
This person that was the subject of the post was listed under a criminal intent under internet law as an unabiding citizen. On this blog many commentators hopped on the bandwagon of bash and heralded this person with an attack in the likes of a piranha buffet. It rather disturbed me the amount of disgust, hate and vengeance stated by people who do not personally know this individual. There was not one comment from any victim listed on this site.
What would you do… if you had done something wrong? Admitted it on video for the whole world to see and take complete 100% responsibility for the acts that you do. I don’t know many people who take on the role of accountability in this magnitude. No matter what… I think this would make you a humble person. When I had to admit to an judgment error of strong magnitude.. it was not fun. PLUS I didn’t record it for the whole world.. it was just to the person I wronged and that was that. I will admit it was extremely H.A.R.D to do!
Would you open your self like a book, be transperant and completely share your weakness and shame for all the world to see? How would you feel to see your name smeared all over after you just taken responsibility for your actions.
In a business relationship or in friendship you must also think for yourself. Completely believing what everyone tells us and leaving our brains checked at the door is part of our choice. The internet allows us to see the truth as we so choose. Yes there are some people that do wrong things. I think by waiting for others to do our thinking for us and by being on the mean bandwagon will make those of us who choose this route rather regretful later. What comes around goes around. What you write or comment about is our primary thought patterns. The digital example of what we are sharing with the world shows who we really are and what we think. Once out there you can not take it back.
Perhaps taking a lesson from the person who admitted their mistakes and those who anonymously slander should think twice. The more I delve into the internet I find amazing people and amazing things that are shared. How can anyone be so negative? You have the choice of who you want to know and connect yourself to. I guess I have to accept the fact that there are those who live in a negative thought world and love to reside there. I am going to choose a world and follow those who share wonderful things about themselves and help others.
I know from my experience from online research and making informed decisions I have been extremely grateful to have met in person and online some very nice and wonderful people including the above-mentioned individual.
My quest to you when commenting about others… Social Karma. Please be kind and act refined
