I was doing research trying to figure out all these things about getting ranked online for a video.
I looked into tutorials. Went into Youtube, checked Facebook, tweeted a question out. Search the 800 pound Gargantuan Google Gorilla.
Nothing. Waaaaaay too much of everything.
Have you ever had one of those days that you just don’t get it? Today was like that for me.
I spent literally 14 hours creating a 5 minute video just to see others doing the same thing. Yes there is one person I discovered that I really respect the video they created. A fantastic video and really deserves kudos. Serious Kudos. I mean big big kudos for the work, time, creativity and effort just to see some junky video take top spot.
Then I realized. I was feeling overwhelmed not with disappointment but satiety for realizing that I had in 14 hours learned
- How to write a basic script
- How to do a voice over
- How to learn and use audio software
- How to edit the voice over and remove background noise
- How to use keynote for my slide show
- How find pictures that represent what I am trying to express
- How to use software that records slide show and audio together
- How to upload the correct type of video file to get the desired result
- How to develop traffic in Youtube for eyeballs
- How to see through blurry eyes at 3:30 am
- How to pass out and not touch my computer for 4.38 hours (sleep)
Sometimes I think it is best to recognize that there are times that you need to step away from the sledge hammer or TNT and find people who have done it before you and follow the steps that they have done. Yes sometimes you do have to pay for it. But if you do it the “free way” aren’t you really really paying? Paying with frustration? Paying with tears? Paying with bald patches? Paying with a cracked head against the desk? Paying with bitten nails? Paying with new glasses? Paying with research carpel tunnel?
